GQ for Gap
Last night I checked out the #GQforGap launch @GapCA on Bloor St.
Each of the designers had dope collections available for fall and by the time I left, my size in everything was sold out. I can’t wait to learn more about each of these designers and what the future holds for them.

I was watching the @sheltonjlee Do The Right Thing anniversary earlier this Yr thinking how much time has passed.
What’s the likely hood that the most politically charged streetwear brand that we’ve seen in the game would be born in the most diverse city in the world?
@tooblackguys is ‘black’ with a new collection and it’s mature, sexy & rife with attitude all very much to my liking.
Head over to tooblackguys.co to see the full collection.
#snkrbox #designer #tooblackguys #YYZ (at Boom Breakfast & Co)
In the ‘90’s when too black guys was in their infancy, hip hop was not just underground it was at its core.
To put things into perspective, @nike had not given birth to #AirMax yet, @jumpman23 had not won a championship yet & biggie and pac were unknown names.
Seeing this imagery this week brought back chills of teen spirit that filled my bones when I would rock TBG.
At the time, the direction of a black males life during this period could arguably go North or South of which some would argue has not changed much today.
The world has change a lot in the last two decades but ironically the essentials remain the same. I’m stoked to be able to share this story with my digital friends and followers and hope you will share it with your friends too.

Too Black Guys
In 1993 my best friend took me to this little spot off Bathurst called #tooblackguys
It was home to an upstart clothing brand that defined the political climate of streetwear at the time.
In the stairwell were autographs from artists like Mary J Blige, Ice Cube & L.O.T.N.S.
For the next 7 Years, I repped hard for the label, hung out at the shop, went to every hip hop party this city had to offer.
Recently, I learned @tooblackguys is ‘black’ again with a new collection. It’s the most mature, invigorating collection I’ve seen yet.
I’m excited, the timing could not be better!
